On Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m., the City of Golden will host refining workshops in City Council Chambers to discuss Heart of Golden 2020 and the Clear Creek Corridor.
This workshop will begin with a project update and will have a feedback activity, which will allow direct community comments and suggestions.
The key questions for the community to address at this workshop are:
- What do you like most about each option presented?
- What do you like least?
- What is missing?
Join us for this unique opportunity to help plan the future and create a legacy in the heart of Golden. Learn more about the project on GuidingGolden.com.
The Golden United Housing Task Force will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Golden, 17707 W 16th Ave. Light refreshments will be served.
The Golden United Housing Task Force meets the third Tuesday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m.
*Please note, all public meetings, with the exception of City Council, have been temporarily suspended.
The Citizens Budget Advisory Committee (CBAC) was created by the City Manager to advise City staff on the development, implementation, and evaluation of the annual City budget. Participation in CBAC is an opportunity not only to advise on the prioritization of how City tax dollars are spent, but also to advise our policymakers in their decision-making process.
CBAC meets the third Wednesday of each month, March through October and the second Wednesday of November, at 7:30 a.m. in the Golden City Hall Council Chambers.
To download the agenda for the next meeting, or view archived agendas, minutes or listen to audio from past meetings, please visit the Agendas, Minutes, Web Casts and Schedules page.
*Please note, all public meetings, with the exception of City Council, have been temporarily suspended.
The Planning Commission, established in 1948, affords residents the opportunity to actively participate in the planning of the City and its welfare; to learn all facets of the regulations governing such functions; interact with a wide variety of citizens participating in the shaping of Golden’s future; and assume an active role in any regulation changes involving zoning and subdivision activity.
Planning Commission Study Sessions recur on the third Wednesday of each month. Study Sessions are open to the public, but are for information only, and no public hearings or votes will take place during the meeting. To participate in a Planning Commission public hearing, those meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers (unless otherwise noted).
To download the agenda for the next meeting, or view archived agendas, minutes or listen to audio from past meetings, please visit the Agendas, Minutes, Web Casts and Schedules page. Visit the Planning Commission page to learn more about their responsibilities and duties.
* A message from JeffCo Open Space: Due to escalating concerns over COVID-19 and to prioritize the health and safety of our employees and community, we have decided to cancel the second Heritage Square Exchange Community Meeting, scheduled for Thursday, March 19. The presentation from the first community meeting, given on March 10, is currently available online at www.jeffco.us/hse. All questions and comments can be sent to hse@jeffco.us and are being collected for public record until April 10, 2020. Thank you for your understanding.

Jeffco Open Space (JCOS) will host two community meetings, on Tuesday, March 10 and Thursday, March 19 from 5:30 – 7 p.m., about the potential Heritage Square Land Exchange. Both meetings will take place at the Origins Hotel Red Rocks, 18485 W Colfax Ave.
In 2019, JCOS received a proposal for a land exchange with Martin Marietta Materials (MMM). The proposed HSE agreement includes the exchange of 64 acres of JCOS property to expand the current Specification/Aggregate mine located on US 40, north of I-70, for approximately 131 acres of MMM property.
The public is encouraged to join one of the upcoming community meetings to learn more about, and comment on, the proposed exchange. Each meeting will include a presentation and question/answer session.
The Golden City Council meets every second and fourth Thursday at 6:30 p.m., unless rescheduled due to holidays or other events happening in the City.
To download the agenda for the next meeting, or view archived agendas, minutes or web casts from past meetings, please visit the Agendas, Minutes, Web Casts and Schedules page.
