Help the Kiwanis Club of Golden raise money for scholarships while tasting wines from small craft wineries and enjoying the music of Soularus.
Wine tasting event takes place at Calvary Church, just one block west of Table Mountain Inn, on Oct. 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
For over 45 years, the Golden Civic Foundation’s Annual Auction has been the event of the year for prominent members of the Golden community who love our town.
This event is the primary fundraiser for the Foundation’s grant program. Through the contributions of many businesses and individuals in our community, in the past 45 years the Civic Foundation has provided over $5.1 million to support charitable organizations, public schools, museums and cultural centers in the greater Golden area.
We’re ramping up to have this year’s auction be the pinnacle event kicking off your holiday season! While honoring our past traditions, we’ll also introduce some fun additions including mobile bidding, while extending the evening to include dancing and live music!
The evening’s music will include The Six Million Dollar Band. Get your dancin’ shoes ready!

Come out to the annual Colorado Cowboy Gathering (CCG) in Golden, Colorado, January 19 – 22, 2017 for a celebration of western heritage. Each day of the Gathering features different shows, classes and programming, primarily at the American Mountaineering Museum. The Colorado Cowboy Gathering (CCG) is dedicated to exploring, presenting and preserving the diverse and dynamic cultural heritage of the American West. CCG is an organization that believes in a world where a handshake means something and that the Code of the West is a powerful way to teach children to live a life of integrity, commitment and respect. CCG celebrates the wisdom, artistry and ingenuity of western folkways through exhibitions, statewide outreach educational programs, and a premier annual event held in January – a vital link to the past, present and future, and where the traditions of the cowboy and the Code of the West are shared through stories, poetry, song and verse.
Please join us Monday, January 23 between 6 – 8 p.m. for the next meeting on the Washington Avenue complete street project. This project will consist of improvements on Washington Avenue between 10th Street north to Hwy 93. Based on input provided at our February 2016 public meeting, we’ve identified seven project themes:
- Safe bike facilities
- Enhanced pedestrian facilities and safety
- Improved aesthetics and landscaping
- Reduced vehicular speeds
- Improved residential parking and driveway access
- Enhanced transit
- Improved access to business
The design team has developed a “shopping list” of options to address these themes and we’d like your input.

The third-annual UllrGrass music and beer festival will be held in Parfet Park and the Buffalo Rose on Friday January 27 – Sunday January 29, 2017.
