Worldwide Photowalk
Oct 6 all-day

Worldwide PhotowalkThe 11th Annual Worldwide Photowalk happens October 6, 2018 in thousands of cities all over the world, including here in Golden.

The Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk, dubbed the world’s largest global and social photography event, has grown immensely in size and popularity since the inaugural walk in 2007. Last year, more than 24,000 photographers of all walks of life and skill level converged to explore their corners of the world through photography and social community.

The concept of a Photowalk is simple. Photowalks are created by Walk Leaders like Golden’s Bill Way in cities all over the world. Walkers meet up at a pre-designated location to spend a few hours socializing, capturing images, and sharing with like-minded people. At the end of the Photowalk, most groups convene at local restaurants or taverns to share their images and experiences over food.

For more information and to join the photowalk, contact Bill Way at BillWayToday@gmail.com.

Golden Civic Foundation Auction & Gala @ Colorado School of Mines Lockridge Arena
Oct 20 @ 5:00 pm

2018 Golden Civic Foundation Auction and GalaThe Golden Civic Foundation Auction and Gala brings together Goldenites for a night of fun and to raise money for our town. The funds from the Gala and Auction support the Golden Civic Foundation’s Community Grant Program. Over the past 43 years, this program raised more than $5.3 million, all of which was reinvested back into the Golden community to support charitable organizations, public schools, museums, and cultural centers in the area.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at GoldenCivicFoundation.org/gala-auction. You can also call 303-279-9169 or email Executive Director Heather Schneider at Heather@GoldenCivicFoundation.org with any questions.
