The GHS Dance Team will hold a Mini Poms Dance Clinic on Saturday, February 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Golden High School Main Gym with a special appearance by Caitlynn Kern, Broncos cheerleader and GHS Dance Team alumni.
This 3-hour dance clinic is for kids in Kindergarten though 6th Grade. Participants will work on dance skills, play games and learn a dance to be performed with the award-winning GHS Dance Team at a Golden High School Basketball game on February 12 at 7 p.m.
Are you a business or nonprofit looking to connect? Coors, NREL, Bob’s Atomic Burgers, Connect Workspace, Powder 7, and Wells Fargo will discuss their approaches to corporate philanthropy and collaboration with Golden nonprofits. Join the discussion at noon on Wednesday, March 20, in Council Chambers.
The objectives of the panel are to: 1) Help businesses and nonprofits in Golden get to know one another better; 2) Identify collaborative or partnership opportunities; 3) Explore tools that our community could use to connect businesses to nonprofits; and 4) Explore ways to
track the volunteer hours that businesses and residents provide to nonprofits. Panelists include Bob’s Atomic Burgers, Connects Workspace, Coors, NREL, Powder 7 and Wells Fargo.

The Golden Kiwanis, with the assistance of their sponsored youth (Builders Club, Key Club, and Circle K) along with the Golden Chamber of Commerce and local merchants provide thousands of stuffed plastic eggs for the kids of Golden to enjoy at Easter.
On the morning of the hunt, eggs are spread throughout Parfet Park with different areas for different age groups. Once the bell sounds, kids clean the park in 30 seconds or less and head into downtown for more activities, so don’t be late!
The City will conduct a public hearing to consider information concerning the execution and delivery by the City of a Lease Purchase Agreement of the 160,000 square foot office building on a 3.5 acre parcel of land located at 311 Tenth Street. The City plans to turn the building into a Civic Center.

Now in its 36th Year, Leadership Golden is accepting applications for the 2019-20 Program. This tuition-free program provides local learning about Golden with 11 sessions that run from Sept. 7 to May 7, 2020. Topics include Golden history, government, public works, finance, growth and development, education, arts and recreation, and the justice system. To meet with the Leadership Golden Board of Directors, Steering Committee, and Alumni, you are invited to attend the “Meet and Greet” reception from 5:50 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16 at the Old Capitol Grill, 12th & Washington. Complimentary appetizers and a cash bar will be provided.
The Golden School of Mines will hold a community meeting on Wednesday, September 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Avery Room at the Student Center, 1200 16th Street, to discuss the Mines Master Plan and provide updates on Mines construction projects.
