The Rotary Club of Golden and Jefferson Center have joined forces to present a free event at Bell Middle School, 1001 Ulysses Street on October 3 from 5 to 8:45 p.m. for the Golden community, providing resources and hands-on practical information for parents, caregivers and guardians to help children of all ages grow in positive ways.To register and read a description of all the classes available, visit www.jcmh.org/events/helpingkidsthrive.

Join the Golden Planning Division on December 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a virtual community meeting to discuss a 2020 update of the South Golden Neighborhoods Plan.
Staff will review the results of our summer surveys and take additional feedback from attendees. This will be the perfect opportunity to get involved with the project, even if you missed the initial surveys; there will be additional questions to refine our understanding of those initial results. Participants will be able to use interactive tools that will provide staff live feedback during the virtual meeting. We look forward to your participation!

Join your neighbors for a day of celebration and community service on National Public Land Day! The City of Golden, in partnership with Jefferson County Open Space and the City of Wheat Ridge, is sponsoring a Clear Creek Clean-up.
Participants will be working along a 22 mile stretch of the Peaks to Plains Trail along Clear Creek. Past efforts have resulted in the collection of 12,220 pounds of trash. Mismanaged trash that escapes into waterways can create a wide range of problems. Aquatic trash affects water quality, endangers plants and animals, and pollutes the outdoor spaces that we depend on for tourism and recreation.
The canyon will be closed for this very special event.

Afterwards, be sure to join a post-project celebration at the Gateway Trailhead in Golden. Volunteers will be treated to live music, free food from a handful of food trucks and beer for individuals 21 years of age and older.
