Join Golden Planning staff for an Open House to discuss new utility (water, wastewater, and drainage) rate structures on Wednesday, August 14, from 6 to 8 p.m in the Golden Community Center.

Stop by the Golden Utilities open house in the Golden Community Center on Wednesday, August 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. to learn more about your water, wastewater and stormwater utilities and potential changes ahead for how we charge for these services.

The open house will include stations that provide information about the water, wastewater and stormwater systems, water resources, rate study, water quality, and conservation. This is your chance to provide feedback on how Golden charges for utility services.

Your input is part of the rate study currently underway, to look at how customers are charged for water, sewer, and stormwater drainage services. A committee made up of experts and local residents worked for the past six months to evaluate the current system and ensure any changes are fair, equitable and tied to the demands that different types of customers place on the system.

The open house format is intended to be flexible to so please stop in at your convenience during the event!

Join the Public Works Department for the kick-off session of the Annual Public Works Citizen’s Academy. This Academy is a free 20-hour program exploring the work that goes into keeping Golden’s streets clear, the water flowing, and the city beautiful! Participants can expect equipment demonstrations, presentations by Public Works staff, and tours of City facilities including a field trip to Guanella reservoir. Celebrate women at the 5th annual Jeffco International Women’s Day on March 3 at Baldoria on the Water, 146 Van Gordon Street in Lakewood.
