The Historic Preservation Board has a number of responsibilities regarding the preservation and upkeep of Golden’s many historic sites.
The Board meets in Council Chambers on the second Wednesday evening of each month in public hearing at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar. Study sessions may be scheduled as needed.

The annual E-Days events are put on by the Colorado School of Mines. While most of the events are for students only, there are a few visible to the public, including trebuchet contests, Cardboard Boat Races in Clear Creek and a fireworks display on Saturday night, April 15 at 9:15 p.m.

Putting the ‘fun’ in fundraiser, this annual event supports the efforts of the Mitchell Elementary PTA with a stroll down the ‘saloons’ of Washington Avenue.
Check in at YoColorado (805 12th Street) from 6 – 7 p.m., then head to the Buffalo Rose for boot scooting to the music of the “Gnarbillys,” while bidding on unique auction items.

Come out to Golden’s newest city park, DeLong Park, for an Earth Day Celebration (rescheduled from April due to weather) held by volunteer DeLong Weedbusters from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 3.
