CDOT CO-93 repaving improvements area map.The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has begun the CO 93 Repaving and Improvements project. Work on this project will improve driving conditions and safety along the 3.1-mile stretch of CO 93 between the intersection of CO 58/US 6/CO 93 and 58th Ave.

The project will begin with daytime work to complete erosion control, widening, and ADA curb ramps. The project will then switch to nighttime work to complete milling, paving, and guardrail upgrades in June. Work will then switch back to daytime hours to complete
signage, striping, and rumble strips in late summer.

The project is taking place between mile point (MP) 0.0 to MP 3.1 and is expected to be completed in October 2023.

Planned Improvements

  • Asphalt repaving
  • Signal replacement at 58th Ave.
  • Road widening between Washington Ave. and Mesa Dr,
  • ADA curb ramp and guardrail upgrades
  • Updated signage and striping
  • Addition of rumble strips
  • Lengthen the northbound CO 93 acceleration lane from westbound Washington Ave
  • Add a 2nd northbound CO 93 thru lane between Washington Ave and Golden Gate Canyon Rd
  • Add a median on the east and west sides of Pine Ridge Rd to reinforce existing turning restrictions onto CO 93

Expected Travel Impacts

Starting in April, motorists should expect:

  • Daytime working hours will take place Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Nighttime working hours will take place Sunday through Thursday evenings between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • North and southbound single lane closures during normal working hours and potential traffic shifts during guardrail operations.
  • A detour for pedestrians and cyclists during widening operations near Washington Ave. Detour signage will be posted in the area.
  • Grooved and rough pavement in sections of the project until paving operations are complete.
  • Speed limits will be reduced to 40 mph between Washington Ave and Mesa Dr/Golden Gate Canyon Rd during widening operations.
