Net Zero Energy Code Project Update

The Community Sustainability Advisory Board invites you to join this special meeting on Thursday, February 29, 6 – 8:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers room at City Hall for an update of the Net Zero Energy Code project.

Since the Boards’ efforts last summer, a consultant has been hired and will present their findings at this meeting which will address:

1. an evaluation of recent legal challenges to natural gas bans in other cities,
2. a recommendation of a code strategy that could meet Golden’s energy goals in the context of emerging legal obstacles and
3. an evaluation of the efficacy and feasibility of implementing a net zero energy code for new construction.

The consultant will be available to answer questions of Board members. This meeting is open to all interested members of the public and will be hosted in-person and will stream online on our Agendas & Meetings page.
