The Golden Farmers Market, sponsored by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, will not be at its regular place this weekend due to Buffalo Bill Days.

Turn on your porch lights, lock your doors, and join the Golden Police Department for the 2023 National Night Out event from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1 in Parfet Park on the corner of 10th Street and Washington Avenue. Bring the whole family for face painting, crime prevention tips, food, and fun. The Flight for Life Helicopter will land at 7 p.m., provided they are not on a service call.
National Night Out is an annual community event that promotes police-community partnerships in a fun and relaxing environment.
Autumn Fest is a free celebration of Golden featuring hands-on activities for the whole family, including crafts, big trucks, and even farm animals!
Join us to welcome the fall season at Golden History Museum (923 10th St.) with free and low-cost family-friendly activities:
- Make-your-own thaumatrope station and lawn games (hoop toss, ladder ball, and cornhole)
- 4-H petting zoo
- Craft stations
- BIG TRUCKS (Streets, Fire, and Police Departments)
- Costumed Civil War interpretation
- Karate demonstration

Individuals, businesses and restaurants offer up their best chili for tasting and competition at Parfet Park on Oct. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Sponsored by the Golden Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Coors Distributing Company, this event will showcase 30+ brands of beer, from domestic beers to imports and local specialty crafts.

On Halloween, Oct. 31 from 3 to 5:00 p.m., downtown Washington Ave. will be closed to cars and filled instead with tiny zombies, super-heroes and other masked little ones, all ready to fill their trick-or-treat bags in a safe atmosphere with candy provided by local Golden merchants.
Bring your little ones for some sugar-saturated, non-spooky fun!
Experience the beauty of the holiday season with a walk down Washington Ave., candle (or glowstick) in hand, singing carols on Friday, Dec. 1.
The pre-walk holiday show starts at 5 p.m. on the stage at 10th and Washington. The walk starts at 6:30 p.m. in front of Foothills Art Center on 15th St.

The festival features a costume contest, troubadours and beer from over 30 breweries.

Festivities Include:
- Pup Meet and Mingle in Parfet Park
- Free Pup Cups, Giveaways, and Vendor Booths
- Official event photography opportunities under the iconic “Welcome to Golden” Arch
- Photo ops under our mini “Welcome to Golden” Arch
Trained, friendly, and leashed dogs are invited, and owners are kindly requested to please clean up after their dog.
Event Schedule
- 11 a.m. – Meet and greet in Parfet Park where you can enjoy complimentary “pup cup” treats, pose for photos under our mini Welcome Arch, purchase official Goldens In Golden merchandise, browse the vendor village and meet Golden based pet organizations.
- 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m. – Official Event Photography: three separate opportunities to join a group photo under the Welcome Arch on Washington Ave.
- 1 p.m. – Official festivities end at 1 p.m. and Washington Avenue will re-open to vehicle traffic. Afterwards, head out around Golden on your own. There will be many dog-friendly deals, plenty of patios and lots of nearby trails to enjoy!
