Grab your neighbors and join us each Monday and some Thursday mornings this summer on the Creekside Patio of the Golden Natural History Museum (923 10th Street) to help us keep Clear Creek beautiful!
Volunteers can check in at the table on the patio anytime beginning at 7:30 a.m. and help for as long as their schedule allows, or until 10 a.m., when we usually finish up.

- Wear appropriate clothing, which may include long pants, long-sleeved shirts, hats, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
- Don’t forget sunscreen, insect repellent, and a water bottle!
- Check in at the table on the patio to sign in and receive any necessary gear and instructions for the activity.
- Safety vests, gloves, bags/buckets, and other needed tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own work gloves and trash collection bags if you’d prefer.
The annual weekend-long Community Pride Days event will be held September 16 and 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1300 Catamount Dr. Bring your non-hazardous and unwanted junk for free disposal by the City!
Participants will be required to show proof of residency at the gate in the form of a State-issued ID. City water bills will NOT be accepted as proof of residency. Unsure if your residence is within city limits? Check out Jeffco.us/awiz/ to find out for sure.

Autumn Fest is a free celebration of Golden featuring hands-on activities for the whole family, including crafts, big trucks, and even farm animals!
Join us to welcome the fall season at Golden History Museum (923 10th St.) with free and low-cost family-friendly activities:
- Make-your-own thaumatrope station and lawn games (hoop toss, ladder ball, and cornhole)
- 4-H petting zoo
- Craft stations
- BIG TRUCKS (Streets, Fire, and Police Departments)
- Costumed Civil War interpretation
- Karate demonstration

Come out to Fire Station #1 at 911 10th Street on Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a free, Fire Prevention Week Safety Day, sponsored with the help of local and regional partners.
Activities for all ages will be featured, including fire truck tours, live fire demonstrations, and the opportunity to practice hands-on fire safety skills with first responders.
Light refreshments provided.
On Halloween, Oct. 31 from 3 to 5:00 p.m., downtown Washington Ave. will be closed to cars and filled instead with tiny zombies, super-heroes and other masked little ones, all ready to fill their trick-or-treat bags in a safe atmosphere with candy provided by local Golden merchants.

Come do some holiday shopping at the Annual Golden High School Holiday Bazaar held by the GHS PTA.
With plenty to choose from and a variety of goods from over 70 different vendors, you can make a big dent on your holiday shopping list.
This is a fundraiser for the students at Golden High School, helping with scholarships, grants, and more.
The Bazaar will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Golden High School, 701 24th St. Includes free parking and admission.
Spend a magical day in Golden meeting and mingling with family favorite holiday characters–classic and new–in Downtown Golden along Washington Avenue, which will be closed for the festive event.
Bring your camera for plenty of photo opportunities, including a “Selfie with an Elfie” station, live music, Newfoundland dog cart rides, and lots of festive holiday fun for the whole family!
Bring the little ones for the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 in Parfet Park.
Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Golden, the “hunt” starts at 10 a.m. as children dart about to find the colorful treasures! It doesn’t take more than a few minutes for all the eggs to be gathered up, so don’t be late!
Children up to age 10 are welcome.
The City of Golden and Weedbuster volunteers invite you to DeLong Park (395 23rd Street) to Celebrate Earth Day, learn about the pesticide free park and the native plants that live there.
There will be games for children, exploration learning, giveaways and more.
