The Golden United Housing Task Force will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Golden, 17707 W 16th Ave. Light refreshments will be served.

The Golden United Housing Task Force meets the third Tuesday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Citizens Budget Advisory Committee (CBAC) was created by the City Manager to advise City staff on the development, implementation, and evaluation of the annual City budget. Participation in CBAC is an opportunity not only to advise on the prioritization of how City tax dollars are spent, but also to advise our policymakers in their decision-making process.

CBAC meets the third Wednesday of each month, March through October and the second Wednesday of November, at 7:30 a.m. in the Golden City Hall Council Chambers.

* A message from JeffCo Open Space: Due to escalating concerns over COVID-19 and to prioritize the health and safety of our employees and community, we have decided to cancel the second Heritage Square Exchange Community Meeting, scheduled for Thursday, March 19. Jeffco Open Space (JCOS) will host two community meetings, on Tuesday, March 10 and Thursday, March 19 from 5:30 – 7 p.m., about the potential Heritage Square Land Exchange. Both meetings will take place at the Origins Hotel Red Rocks, 18485 W Colfax Ave.

In 2019, JCOS received a proposal for a land exchange with Martin Marietta Materials (MMM). The proposed HSE agreement includes the exchange of 64 acres of JCOS property to expand the current Specification/Aggregate mine located on US 40, north of I-70, for approximately 131 acres of MMM property.

The public is encouraged to join one of the upcoming community meetings to learn more about, and comment on, the proposed exchange. Each meeting will include a presentation and question/answer session.

The Golden City Council meets every second and fourth Thursday at 6:30 p.m., unless rescheduled due to holidays or other events happening in the City.
