This November, Golden voters will elect a Mayor and City Councilors for Districts 1 and 2.

Join us on September 19 , 6 to 8 p.m. in City Hall to learn more about each candidate during a Candidate Forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of Jefferson County.

Come out to Fire Station #1 at 911 10th Street on Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a free, Fire Prevention Week Safety Day, sponsored with the help of local and regional partners.

Activities for all ages will be featured, including fire truck tours, live fire demonstrations, and the opportunity to practice hands-on fire safety skills with first responders.

Light refreshments provided.

Find out how your neighbors are living better AND saving money at the annual Metro Denver Green Homes Tour. This year, the tour features an outstanding group of fifteen homes that have opened their doors wide in welcome, ready to inspire your eco-friendly home innovations.

All the homes are described in a large colorful booklet that is free with each $10 ticket.

Afterward, don’t miss the free Green Expo and Reception at the American Mountaineering Center from 5 to 7 p.m.

Following the Metro Denver Green Homes Tour, come out to the American Mountaineering Center for a free celebration of all things green!

Come explore an eco-friendly tiny home, visit the solar growing dome, try demo bikes and explore the EV Roundup of locally owned EV’s and new dealer models.

Enjoy free appetizers, local beverages and live music. It’s an event not to be missed!

If Council Chambers exceed the maximum number of people allowed per the fire code, additional visitors will be directed to the Fire Training Room where they will be able to watch the forum in comfort.
