Following the April community meeting and virtual workshop, the consultants from Keen Independent carefully reviewed community input and relevant plans and documents from the City.

On August 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., consultants will share their initial recommendations to the community in City Council Chambers at 911 10^th St. The Draft Recommendations will be available for review at GuidingGolden.com on August 25.

We encourage you to attend the presentation or send your comments to the study hotline at (720) 515-1654 or email the study team at goldenarts@keenindependent.com.

A follow-up presentation of the Draft Recommendations is scheduled for the City Council meeting on September 26.

There will be NO Coffee with Councilors on Sept. 2 due to the Labor Day weekend holiday. We look forward to seeing you in October!

The Public Art Commission (PAC) has the responsibility of promoting, selecting, acquiring and maintaining public art in the fulfillment of the City’s Art in Public Places program.

PAC meets on the first Thursday of each month from 9 to 10:30 a.m. These meeting are open to the public.

The REDI (Race, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) Task Force is composed of community members and city staff who have a key role in implementing aspects of the REDI Action Plan, finalized by the City in November of 2022.

The Task Force focuses on promoting accountability for implementing the REDI Action Plan and coordinating community-wide efforts to advance equity.

The task force meets monthly in Council Chambers (911 10th St.) on the first Thursday of the month from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

The Golden City Council meets every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers (911 10th St.), unless rescheduled due to holidays or other events happening in the city.

The Historic Preservation Board has a number of responsibilities regarding the preservation and upkeep of Golden’s many historic sites.

The Board meets in Council Chambers on the second Wednesday evening of each month in public hearing at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar. Study sessions may be scheduled as needed.

The Economic Development Commission (EDComm) was established by Golden City Council in June of 1999 and consists of seven members. The purpose of the Economic Development Commission is to provide leadership, education, and the tools necessary for the Golden community to optimize appropriate economic opportunities. Their duties include developing a structure and strategy for marketing/promoting the Golden community.

The Economic Development Commission meets regularly on the second Thursday of each month starting at 6:30 p.m. If a meeting must be rescheduled for some reason, the date will be noted on the Community Calendar and on the agendas page.

This November, Golden voters will elect a Mayor and City Councilors for Districts 1 and 2.

Join us on September 19 , 6 to 8 p.m. in City Hall to learn more about each candidate during a Candidate Forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of Jefferson County.

The mission of the Community Sustainability Advisory Board (CSAB) is to assist the City of Golden in achieving the ten-year sustainability goals. In order to facilitate achievement of these goals, the Board will lead, encourage, enable, and empower the citizens, visitors, and people who work in Golden, to live in a sustainable manner.

The Community Sustainability Advisory Board will meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., unless rescheduled for holidays or a lack of quorum. Meetings are open to the public.
