On Wednesday, January 29 and Wednesday, February 12, the City of Golden will host visioning workshops in City Council Chambers to discuss the Heart of Golden 2020: The Future of the Clear Creek Corridor. Both of these workshops will begin with a project update and will have a feedback activity, which will allow direct community comment and suggestions.
There are three key questions for the community to address at this workshop.
1) What does your dream corridor look like?
2) What uses would you like to see and where?
3) What uses are most important to you?

Celebrate women at the 5th annual Jeffco International Women’s Day on March 3 at Baldoria on the Water, 146 Van Gordon Street in Lakewood. The event is sponsored by SCL Health Lutheran and the City of Golden, with additional corporate sponshorships from Genesee Mountain Foundation, IX Power Clean Water, and corporate contributor, Coach Stacy’s Healthy U. Proceeds will benefit Porchlight Family Justice Center and the Jefferson County Library Foundation.
CU Regent Heidi Ganahl & founder of “Camp Bow Wow” will be the keynote speaker at this event during lunch. The winner of the “Unsung Heroine” Award will be announced as well, and Marjorie Sloan will be presented with the “Shattered Glass” Award. Join the Golden Planning Division on December 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a virtual community meeting to discuss a 2020 update of the South Golden Neighborhoods Plan.
Staff will review the results of our summer surveys and take additional feedback from attendees. This will be the perfect opportunity to get involved with the project, even if you missed the initial surveys; there will be additional questions to refine our understanding of those initial results. Participants will be able to use interactive tools that will provide staff live feedback during the virtual meeting. We look forward to your participation!

The Historic Preservation Board has a number of responsibilities regarding the preservation and upkeep of Golden’s many historic sites.
The Board meets in Council Chambers on the second Wednesday evening of each month in public hearing at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar. Study sessions may be scheduled as needed.
