Parents and caregivers of school-aged children are invited to join Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) for a telephone town hall on August 12, from 6 to 8 p.m., to discuss how to protect students from COVID-19 as the next school year begins. There will be panelists from JCPH, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Colorado Academy on the call to share tips and answer your questions. Representative Ed Perlmutter and Jefferson County Commissioner Tracy Kraft-Tharp will also be on the panel.
You will be able to ask questions during the call, but if you prefer to share your question in advance, submit your question at bit.ly/JCPHTownHall. This year the Golden Gallop will offer a HYBRID event, with an in-person race on September 19, or an option to complete a race during a ‘virtual’ race window from Sept. 11 to Sept. 19. Choose from multiple race options, including a Kid’s Fun Run, a 5K and a 10K. Whether in-person or virtual, kids, families, and friends from all over are encouraged to participate. The event raises funds for the Golden Schools Foundation which provides educational funding for seven Golden articulation schools.
