Community Pride Days 2023 @ Drop-off Area

City workers help unload a truck of debris for Community Pride Days.The annual weekend-long Community Pride Days event will be held September 16 and 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1300 Catamount Dr. Bring your non-hazardous and unwanted junk for free disposal by the City!

Participants will be required to show proof of residency at the gate in the form of a State-issued ID. City water bills will NOT be accepted as proof of residency. Unsure if your residence is within city limits? Check out Jeffco.us/awiz/ to find out for sure.

Please note, this year we will NOT be accepting certain items that have been accepted in the past (e.g. paper for shredding and tree limbs). Before you come, please learn more about what is and is NOT accepted this year, and alternative disposal options for the items we cannot accept.

Green Expo and Reception @ American Mountaineering Center

Beer Tasting and Chili Cookoff @ Parfet Park

Individuals, businesses and restaurants offer up their best chili for tasting and competition at Parfet Park on Oct. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Sponsored by the Golden Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Coors Distributing Company, this event will showcase 30+ brands of beer, from domestic beers to imports and local specialty crafts.

Candlelight Walk @ Foothills Art Center

Candlelight WalkExperience the beauty of the holiday season with a walk down Washington Ave., candle (or glowstick) in hand, singing carols on Friday, Dec. 1.

The pre-walk holiday show starts at 5 p.m. on the stage at 10th and Washington. The walk starts at 6:30 p.m. in front of Foothills Art Center on 15th St.

Bring a candle or purchase one beforehand from a local vendor.

GHS Holiday Bazaar @ Golden High School

GHS Holiday Bazaar is on Dec. 2 from 10 am to 3 pmCome do some holiday shopping at the Annual Golden High School Holiday Bazaar held by the GHS PTA.

With plenty to choose from and a variety of goods from over 70 different vendors, you can make a big dent on your holiday shopping list.

This is a fundraiser for the students at Golden High School, helping with scholarships, grants, and more.

The Bazaar will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Golden High School, 701 24th St. Includes free parking and admission.

Get your furry boots and Viking horns out! It’s time for Ullrgrass, the 3-day festival named for the Norse God of Winter that highlights local talents as well as some well-known bluegrass performers.

The festival features a costume contest, troubadours and beer from over 30 breweries.

Where: Parfet Park, downtown Golden.

a gold prospector who arrived in Jefferson County in 1858.
